Day 951: Back To The Precipice!


Today I sit smack bang on 80.0 kg (176.3 lbs), not a new milestone as I hit a few months ago after coming down from 124.4 kg (274.2 lbs) on Day 1.

The reason why it is significant for me is because it has been a struggle to bring my weight down just the 2.2 kgs since the start of Mission 11.  

I am again realising just how dialled in I have to be to shred down to 10% body fat. I first learned this back in 2007 at the end of my original Mission 1. 

The major difference now is that I am 17 years older so my compliance rate has to even higher than it was back then! The older I get the harder it is!

Moving forward I know I’ll have to be remained dialled in above 98% compliance rate if I am to hit my goals before Day 1000. We’ll see what happens in the next 49 days!

  1. G’day Adam, love the tracking of spend on junk food, soft drinks and alcohol. I must admit I hadn’t taken much notice until recently. As you come to grips with the 5 in front of your age and the 17 years (where did that go), you’re not on your own buddy. One trick that sometimes works for me is looking forward 10 years and imagining how much harder it would be to get into shape then, now come back to your current youthful age from that perspective. I have a few older friends that seem to enjoy reminding me of through my whole life. Whenever I try and get some “getting old” sympathy they simply laugh at me and refer to me as the “spring chicken”….then tell me they have signed up for another 100km marathon. Maybe I just need some younger athlete friends to hear me out 😂. Congrats on the 80kg “spring chicken”!
