G’day,
After feeling a little sorry for myself yesterday I was determined to get through today with a clean sheet…and I did just that. While my mind was searching for outs throughout the day I knew the only way I’d get it done was to grit my teeth and drive straight to the gym.
And lo and behold it ended up being a pretty good session. I had a couple of weight increment gains on my strength training along with a PB in the pool for 250m. Not too bad for a reluctant workout!
I guess some days (and weeks) are like this, you search for ways to get out of training but know deep down inside that there is no valid excuse. Ironically, these types of days will set the long-term trajectory of your health and fitness.
Can you get it done on the days when you are not “feeling” it? Today I did, but tomorrow I may have to fight my mind again!
Until tomorrow,
AJ
