Day 833 Video: Mission 10 – The Birthday Shred!

Adam Waters Day 833 of 1000

G’day,

I’ve changed my mind…The Mission 10 Birthday Shred is on!

The RTP Time Machine Changed My Mind!

That’s right, after last week’s Day 825 post about categorising future Missions into categories (transformation, incremental or maintenance) I mentioned that M10 would be “definitely” be a Mission of incremental progress.

So, what changed? Well, after going through my original Mission 1 from 2006 for the “RTP Time Machine” I noticed that I am now in a similar position to how I was 17 years ago! Not only is my physique in the same ball park I also have a birthday that is soon approaching,  February 1 (see below).

RTP Time Machine: Day 85 - February 1, 2007

Day 85 Video: Its My Birthday!

A picture tells a thousand words, so I’ll keep this short and sweet. Way back on November 8th, 2006 my dream was to eat a chocolate birthday cake while holding…...
Turning 50 (Instead of 33!)

Of course the difference this time around is that I’ll be turning 50 instead of 33! While I’m no spring chicken anymore the opportunity to have a real “Birthday Shred Mission” again that tracks closely to my original Mission was too good to pass up!

So, starting from today I’ll again be embarking on a “Transformation” Mission to ring in my birthday in style! My goals are actually similar to my original Mission 1 as well: reduce body fat and maintain lean muscle.

The difference this time around is the “loose skin” factor so getting a defined six-pack might be physiologically impossible. However, I’ll never know if I don’t try!

My M10 Goals By The Numbers

Onto the numbers. Unlike my last couple of Missions I will instead be aiming for sub-12% body fat by my birthday on February 1, 2024. Through weight training using my HyperShred program I’ll also be aiming to retain as much lean body mass as possible (currently sitting at 68.5kg).

Knowing my body how I do now the success of M10 will require a minimum of 98% compliance over the full 84 days. This accountability score contains all the essential components of a transformation: mindset; motivation; visualisation; accountability; recovery; nutrition and training.

This CAPS (Cumulative Accountability Compliance Score) is updated weekly for each blog post so I’ll know very early on whether I am on track (or just dreaming!). My last couple of Mission have been around the 95% mark, good but not good enough for a “transformation.”

Until next week…

Eat Clean,
Shred Hard,
Think BIG!
