Day 166: Big Weight Drop Overnight…3 lbs!

G’day,

Today I’ll discuss something I haven’t talked about in a while…my actual weight! I spent a lot of time during the early part of Mission 1 discussing the to-ing and fro-ing of my numbers and it did my head in a little bit. My body seems to work to the beat of it’s own drum and I suspect this is the same for many people.

Quite a few times over the last few months I have strung together “perfect” training weeks with not much movement on the scale. However, other days when I least expect it there will be a “correction” and my weight drop big seemingly overnight. Well, today was one of those days!

After spending the last two weeks between 89.9 kg (198.1 lbs) and 88.4 kg I woke up this morning to 87.8 kg (193.5 lbs)! This is the first time I have breached 88.0 kg in at least a decade, and it feels great.

However, if there is one thing I have learned over the last few months it is don’t fall in love with that number either. Just keep working hard and the results will come in time.
