Day 165: New 250m Swim PB…By 1 Sec!

G’day,

After my lower body workout today I went for my standard 250m swim in the 25m lap pool. Even though it was raining on and off I felt very good after the first couple of laps. Recently I have been focused on form over speed so I wasn’t looking for a new personal best time.

However, at the final turn I noticed I was in the hunt to post my best ever time for 250m so I went for it…and got there by one whole second! My new PB of 8:36 eclipsed the previous PB of 8:37 set on Day 158.

The triathlon my bro and I are competing in is now only 2 months away so I’ll have to keep working on my swimming form (and speed) on an almost daily basis. The “Open Water” 300m swim for the triathlon will test me enormously!
