As I mentioned last week I had a DEXA Scan appointment to gauge my true bodyfat percentage (as opposed to the readout on my RENPHO home use digital scale). Well, what a brutal shock it was to see that my DEXA scan said I was 12 points higher than my RENPHO for a bodyfat of 36.4% (as opposed to 24.6%)!
It was tough to process at first but as I state in Module 1 of RTP you have face the truth head on. I firmly believe that before we can change we must first know our true starting point, with zero sugar coating. So, in that respect I got my dose of reality yesterday, and its all good.
Further to this topic, Iāll keep posting my weight and bodyfat readings from my RENPHO as a form of daily accountability, and to compare the relative change on this device. I just wonāt put any stock into the actual bodyfat numbers (the weight readings seem to be quite accurate).
I also may get another bodyfat reading from my local gym using their bio-impedance system. The 36.4% reading does seem a little high so I wouldnāt mind a third opinion, however, I do feel that my bodyfat is definitely closer to the DEXA than the RENPHO!

P.S. According to my scales my weight took a massive drop today, but Iāll take this reading and all future ones with a grain of salt. Iāll just focus on doing the work every day, use my daily pictures as a barometer and use the RENPHO numbers as a relative guide. I nearby swear to limit my posts on these topics going forward!
